Pranayama is the term used in yoga that refers to the practice of various breathing techniques. Like meditation, there are many ways to harness prana, our life force.

I teach a variety of breathing techniques, and I also borrow breath patterns from Tai Chi, dance, and other modalities.

The practice of pranayama is an important adjunct to asana practice (the physical postures of yoga). It is also an essential skill in navigating the stresses of our modern lifestyles.
