Welcome to
Today I offer you one my favorite breath exercises.
Some of you may know this breathing pattern as Box Breathing or Square Breathing. I also like to call it Breathing with Pauses.
Sit or lie down comfortably.
Set a steady pace for your breath ~ deep smooth breaths, in and out through your nose.
Now, at the “top” of each inhale, pause (briefly holding your breath) and count to yourself slowly “1, 2”. Then exhale...and at the “bottom” of each exhale, pause (briefly holding your breath) and count to yourself slowly “1, 2”. Then inhale...
Continue this cycle until you feel ready to stop.
