Welcome to

HHAPY Newsletter #5!

The yoga pose I offer you today many of you know as Reclined Butterfly Pose. It is also known as Supta Baddha Konasana (SOOP-ta BAH-dah ko-NA-sa-na).

Feel free to grab a friend ~ or a family member in your house ~ and do this pose next to each other!

Please do not worry if you fall asleep during this pose ~ it happens sometimes!

Lie down on the floor (or your bed) on your back with the soles of your feet together and knees falling away from each other towards the floor. Your feet can be close to your hips or far away.

Place your arms anywhere you’d like ~ your hands can be on your belly, or on the floor beside you, or overhead, or out to the sides, etc.

Close your eyes and breathe.

Enjoy the stretch along your inner thighs and hips, and when you're ready to come out of the pose, gently bring your knees together so your feet are on the floor. Then maybe you'd like to hug your knees to your chest for a few breaths, and then sit up and gently re-enter your day.
